We are committed to easing the burden of detoxification, providing a tailored approach that minimizes discomfort and maximizes safety.

What is Ambulatory Detox?

Ambulatory detox, also known as outpatient detoxification, refers to a medical detox program that allows patients to undergo substance withdrawal while still living at home and maintaining some daily activities. This type of detox provides medical supervision and support on a scheduled basis rather than around-the-clock care in a residential facility. It is suitable for individuals with less severe addiction issues or those who have strong support systems at home. Ambulatory detox typically involves regular check-ins with healthcare professionals who monitor withdrawal symptoms and can administer medications to manage these symptoms safely.

The Difference at 7 Summit Pathways

  • Our team includes medical professionals such as physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses, who specialize in addiction care for healthcare workers. We collaborate with the Professionals Resource Network (PRN) and the Intervention Project for Nurses (IPN), offering tailored programs that provide the necessary support and education for healthcare professionals to achieve and maintain sobriety.
  • We support legal professionals, including lawyers, judges, and law enforcement officers, through our partnership with Florida Lawyers Assistance (FLA). This collaboration ensures that legal professionals have access to the necessary resources for recovery, tailored specifically to their unique needs within the legal community.
  • The Wellbriety Movement adopts a comprehensive approach to addiction recovery, deeply rooted in Native American cultural practices and beliefs. It emphasizes that true recovery extends beyond mere abstinence from substances; it also involves addressing the deeper emotional and psychological factors that underlie addiction.
  • Craniosacral therapy (CST) is an alternative healing practice often provided by professionals such as chiropractors, massage therapists, and osteopaths. This gentle treatment involves the manipulation of the bones in the skull, spine, and pelvis to alleviate various conditions. At 7 Summit Pathways, CST is utilized as an effective complementary therapy, particularly helpful in addressing symptoms related to conditions like addiction.

What Are My Next Steps After Medical Detoxification?

After completing medical detoxification at 7 Summit Pathways, you have several treatment options to continue your recovery journey, structured to fit different needs and recovery stages:

  1. Day/Night Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP): This program offers a structured yet flexible treatment environment where you can receive intensive care during the day through group, individual, and holistic therapies, and return home at night. This program is particularly beneficial if you’re stepping down from a more intensive inpatient treatment or stepping up from a less intensive program.
  2. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): If you need a flexible treatment schedule that allows you to maintain personal and professional obligations, the IOP might be ideal. It offers therapy sessions during mornings or evenings and includes a variety of therapeutic approaches to help manage addiction and maintain recovery.
  3. Outpatient Treatment Program: This program is suitable if you are ready to transition to a less structured environment. It supports the application of recovery skills learned in therapy to everyday life, helping ensure long-term success in your recovery journey.
  4. Aftercare Program: Long-term recovery success is often supported by ongoing care. The aftercare program at 7 Summit Pathways helps develop a sustainable plan for recovery, including community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous, to provide continued support and prevent relapse.
  5. Sober Living Homes: These provide a supportive and structured living environment where you can practice the skills learned in rehab, which is crucial in the early stages of returning to everyday life after more intensive treatment program.

Each of these programs incorporates a range of therapeutic modalities, including medication-assisted treatment, group therapy, and specialized services structured to needs, such as programs for professionals, musicians, and artists. These options ensure that your treatment is comprehensive, addressing not just physical but also emotional and spiritual aspects of recovery.

When I first reached out to Heather and Liz at 7 Summit, I was in an incredibly dark place. My life was spiraling out of control, and I was living with an extreme amount of shame, anxiety, and fear. However, after speaking to Heather, I began to see a glimmer of hope for the future. The staff at 7 Summit is unlike any other treatment facility. They truly put the needs of their patients first. Each patient's history is reviewed by Dr. Wilson and his treatment team. After doing so, an individualized plan of care is established. I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Wilson, Heather, and their amazing team of therapists and staff members. I strongly recommend 7 Summit to anyone who may be struggling with addiction. It is possible to overcome your failures, embrace sobriety, and rebuild an even better life. The people at 7 Summit want to help you do all of those things and more.

I arrived here 2 days before Christmas. I was welcomed by a warm hug by the COO Cammy and then had my admission intake with Dr Willson and Krystal. The overall admission had me feeling welcomed and safe and wanted. Dr Wilson was great during the admission and had me feeling like i truly chose the best place for me and my recovery. I truly can't express the gratitude I have for this place and all of the staff members. I appreciate Heather who is such a loving and caring soul and the minute she talks to you it feels like you're with family. My therapist Krystal was amazing in every sense of the word. She guided me through treatment in a firm but caring way that ultimately led me to finding out so much about myself and my addiction. I'm truly grateful. The techs here are wonderful and caring and ever staff member truly cares. Thank you so much!!!

As I leave the facility today I feel compelled to write of my amazing experience. Initially, I was going through detox thinking once I completed that I would be just FINE to continue on my own. Luckily, my evaluation with MD/nurse showed the necessity of me participating in intensive rehabilitation daily to get to the root cause(s) of why I turned to substances in the first place. I was devastated initially, but by the 2nd week I "got it" when Mark Lundholm taught for the day. Known as an international comedian, his teachings and humor opened a part of me that had been shut down for years. My AHA moment occurred and with wonderful therapists and groups I was able to make excellent progress and am returning home today. Another benefit is outpatient therapy available via zoom. If you or a family member need help with any type of addiction/addictive behaviors I urge you to consider 7 Summit Pathways. Holistic (yoga, meditation, massage, craniosacral treatments) as well as scientific. I can never thank this facility enough for my new lease on life.

Best place you could ever go to. I was the type of addict who FIRMLY believed all i needed was a "detox". The thought of staying any longer pass 7 days in rehab was a HELL NOOOO! That was until i got to know everyone. My first few days of detox from Heroin were as comfortable as it could possibly be. 24 hours around the clock i was monitored. I never had to leave or do anything i thought to be too difficult. Med time was never a minute late. They took my complaints and thoughts seriously and ajusted whatever measures needed to be taken. As i was detoxing, i got to do zoom meetings from a beautiful home and got to experience from a distance what meetings at the 7 summit center are like for people who decide to stay for 30 day program or longer. Thats when my thought of leaving after detox began to change. I got to know other struggling addicts. When i was homeless in the street, i felt alone. As i right this, i have 4 days left of recovery. Surprisingly i dont want to leave yet. I could stay longer but i have matters to attend back at home but these people have become my family. I have the best care takers and a support group thats as strong as it gets. I will never forget these people and the mountain they help me climb. God bless this place and Heather.
