Residency during Treatment at 7 Summit Pathways
The Sober Housing facility at 7 Summit Pathways is designed to provide a comfortable environment focused on compassionate, effective care. Our residences establish a continuity of care between our Treatment Center and the safe sober housing program.
Our interdisciplinary specialists take a multidimensional, personalized approach to your Recovery. When you begin addiction treatment including the Residential Program, you are treated with complete dignity and respect, and surrounded by a team of caring professionals who are ready to provide a nurturing environment in which to heal. We offer evidence-based treatment therapies that are tailored to the specific needs of each individual patient, helping them gain the skills that will help them live the healthiest life possible.
What to Expect When You Arrive
At 7 Summit Pathways, our substance abuse treatment programs provide encouragement and support. We will definitely challenge you, but we will also do everything we can to make you happy once again. Our programs offer necessary life skills as well as recovery coaching, resume building and job networking. Our team will be there with you every step of the way through your journey of growth and long-term Recovery.
When you are ready to come into treatment, you and your family will be warmly welcomed. We will proceed with a brief orientation and fill out some paperwork. You’ll then talk to a doctor or clinician in order to determine your customized plan of treatment. If your family members wish, they can speak with one of our staff members in order to get a clear picture of the process.
A member of our staff will then take your blood pressure, vitals and perform other medical tests so that we have a baseline level of your overall health at program intake.
Getting Set Up in Your Residence
The Sober House orientation program will give you an idea of our policies and procedures. We’ll check your personal property and separate any items that are not allowed in the residential treatment environment. Anything that needs to be separated will be given to a friend or family member. We have separate housing for men and women. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
We ascribe to a buddy system for new clients and you will be teamed up with a senior patient, or “buddy.” We know it can be difficult to find yourself in a Sober Housing environment, but your buddy will be there, not only to answer questions but to provide the support and companionship you may need during the time between sessions, activities and treatments.
While we provide food and other essentials during your first few days with us, afterward you’ll be allotted money for groceries and other personal items. We typically take our new patients shopping within a week of being in our treatment program.
What to Bring
We provide our new patients with bedding, but if you have a favorite blanket or pillow you can, of course, feel free to bring it. You will have your own space for personal items. Bathrooms are shared. Bring clothing that will be appropriate for the Recovery environment, such as casual pants, jeans, shorts and shirts. We recommend you also bring a light jacket or sweater as well as athletic shoes or comfortable shoes with flat soles.
