Connie began her work in the field of Mental Health in 2004, working with the female population. After three years, she decided to make this a career choice and studied to earn her master’s degree as a Mental Health Counselor. The first paid position she accepted was offered by a non-profit in Brandon, FL, where she served as a Group Facilitator and Counselor to adult and adolescent populations. In this position, Connie discovered her passion for counseling
individuals struggling with mental health problems, various addictive behaviors (substance abuse, problem gambling, etc.), and co-occurring lifestyle issues. She uses a strength-based and empathic approach to encourage and awaken her client’s inner strength, while providing
guidance and support in developing the skills needed to cultivate a positive and healthy lifestyle. Connie understands the importance of relationships, social interest, and meeting individuals where they are in life.
